Jesus continues his teaching that he is here to do his father's will. During this teaching the Jews pick up stones to stone him. He asks why and they tell him that he, being a man, has made himself equal with God. Jesus says that if he does the deeds of the father then don't reject him but accept him. Others debate and some point out that John's testimony about Jesus is coming true. So they believe.

Daily Bible Reading Day 148
1Chronicles 20-22; John 10:22-42. David continues his victories. Against the sons of Ammon. Against the giants of the Philistines. Then after all these victories David decides he wants to know exactly how many soldiers he has. This is such a bad idea that even Joab knows it's wrong. God gives David a choice for punishment and David chooses three days of pestilence. As people are dying David sees the angel of The Lord. The angel stops at the threshing floor of Ornan. David buys the threshing floor and offers a burnt offering. This will become the site of the temple. David then begins all the preparations for building the temple for Solomon. It is amazing that in Chronicles there is no hint that anyone else tries to take the throne after David's death.
