1Chronicles 8-10; John 8:37-59.  More genealogies. Benjamin gets their mention. Even though Saul comes from Benjamin, the tribe remains loyal when the nation splits into two countries. Chapter 10 begins the story of Israel with Saul's death. The nation immediately, according to Chronicles, puts David as king. 

Jesus continues this discussion by focusing on the Father and his relationship to the Father. Jesus knows his father but the Jews do not. Instead their father is Satan. Jesus says that those who believe his word will never die. The Jews say "aha, we caught you." They remind him that Abraham and the prophets have all died. But Jesus says that before Abraham was born I AM.
