Daily Bible Reading Day 151

1Chronicles 28-29; John 11:47-57.  David speaks to the whole assembly of Israel. He recounts for them them the plan of God concerning the temple. David wanted to build it but God said no. Instead God choose Solomon to be king in David's place and to build the temple. David told of his preparations and contributions. He then turned the plans over to Solomon. The people then contributed gold, silver, iron, and precious stones. Then the people pledged their allegiance to Solomon.

The leaders meet after the raising of Lazarus. They realize that Jesus is becoming popular and that his popularity might cause problems with the Romans. Caiaphas prophecies without knowing it that Jesus must die for the nation. So they begin to plot to kill Jesus.
